This article was about a company called US Steel. US Steel used to be American manufacturing icon for steel. But the company is declining and began to get undercut by cheaper Asian producers. Suddenly the steel industry found a huge amount of natural gas of at least 100 trillion cubic feet, which can be used as fuel and is a lot cheaper than coal. This finding of all the gas will put US Steel back on track and will also help out the United State's Economy by providing us with drilling jobs.

2.) How do Certificates of Deposit work, and why would they be beneficial to your savings?
    Certificates of Deposits, or CDs, are a type of long-term savings that someone can open. This type of Savings account offers high interest rates and comes with a maturity date, so it does not allow easy access to the money for the customer. However, this can be beneficial to someone who does not need money now, but would like to have a good amount of money saved for down the road, such as college or retirement.

3.) Explain Mutual Funds:
    A Mutual Fund is a professionally managed collective investment that pools money from many investors to invest in stocks, bonds, and money markets. If there are any losses in a Mutual Fund, it is likely to be made up by gains in another area. Mutual funds have a low starting cost, around $50, and is much easier to deal with than Stocks or Bonds with a much lower risk than the others. They are very Convenient, in that you can buy them by mail, phone, Internet or through a professional broker.

Minimum Wage

1. Morgan and Alex did pretty good at budgeting for the thirty days by only eating things that were low in cost finding cheap transportation. Not buying luxury items and only spending money when they really had to like when ever they had to go to the hospital or get a prescription.
2. Budgeting helped give them a place to live, warmth, and food. All of these things are necessary for survival.
3. I do believe that raising the minimum wage will drastically help families because currently it cost more to live than minimum wage offers. Businesses just don't want to raise minimum wage so they don't have to pay their employees more money.
4. He became so emotional because here they were busting their butts for survival and the church helps them by giving them free furniture and supplies.
5. If I didn't have to I would not go to the doctor seeing that it cost way too much but if it were my children i would take them.
6. I believe the main cause of the argument was the stress and that one was making sacrifices that the other wasn't making but doing the opposite.

Principal Lay

Principal Lay decided that he wanted his athletic director to say prayer at a school luncheon. Principal Lay was aware of the fact that it was against the law to enforce a religion onto someone especially at school. I do believe that it should be against the law only because it could offend students from different religions. By not saying prayer doesn't show that your ashamed of your faith but that you know the rules and that you can't say prayer at a public school. I do not believe lay should of gotten punished for what he did but nearly been taken aside and told that he can't do that.

National Convention speeches

The debate between president Barack Obama and Mitt Romney was one of many points and changes. Romney who is a republican talked about the importance of business about how the USA needs to be flourished with our jobs and stop the immigrants from coming over to America.  He also stated a few comments about Obama  and how the people don't see what he has done to make the change.He also talks about how the US needs to have our religious standpoints in God, how God  needs to be re introduced to our younger generation and have prayers back in school and our daily life. Obama who is a democrat  has many ideas about helping our economy and supporting the poorer to middle class. Obama wants to cut oil, and political gridlock, he wants more jobs by 2020. He also is trying to make a better future for the young generation to look up to and not worry about the economy or paying the debts to the countries we owe. Barack is also trying to keep Romney from taking away student funding for college students.
